No disunity among ruling MLAs: Govindas

Works minister Govin-das Konthoujam has said that there is no disunity among the ruling party MLAs currently in New Delhi as all are collectively meeting and pressuring central leaders to safeguard territorial integrity of Manipur.
In a video clip uploaded on social media Tuesday, Govindas said ruling MLAs in New Delhi collectively met BJP general secretary (organisation) BL Santosh on Tuesday after meeting defence minister Rajnath and finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman the previous day.
During the meeting, the MLAs pressurised BL Santosh to intensify steps being taken up by the Centre to restore peace and normalcy in Manipur, Govindas said in the video and clarified that there is no disunity among the ruling MLAs.
According to Govindas, the team of ruling MLAs pressurised central leaders to take up immediate steps to end blockade along NH-2 road at Kangpokpi.
As in the past, central leaders have given firm commitment that there is no question of compromising on territorial integrity of Manipur.
When the MLAs strongly called for taking action against SoO militants violating ground rules, central leaders have assured to intensify steps being taken up in this regard by the Ministry of Home Affairs.
While stating that there is no question,of BJP taking help of an underground organisation during election time, Govindas said party's national leaders will issue a clarification note in this regard.
Terming as unfortunate reports being carried in some Imphal-based dailies about discord among the ruling MLAs, Govindas said all the MLAs are working for return peace and normalcy in Manipur and the present government will go together with the people.
In the video, Langthabal MLA Karam Shyam said reports about disunity among ruling MLAs camping in New Delhi was very unfortunate and fictitious.
He said that all ruling MLAs in New Delhi are meeting central leaders collectively and working together to bring peace and normalcy in Manipur at the earliest.
