TAPASYA cultural troupe leave for Jamaica and Bahamas

Imphal, June 20 2023:
Am 8-member cultural troupe of TAPASYA (A centre for performing arts), Singjamei Wangma Pebiya Pandit Leikai under the aegis of Indian Council for Cultural Relation (ICCR) has left Imphal for Jamaica and Bahamas yesterday.
The troupe will present world famous cultural items of Manipur- "Pung Cholom", "Dhon Cholom", "Thang-Ta" and "Basanta Ras" during the tour to the two Caribbean countries, said TAPASYA in a statement.
The troupe led by director of TAPASYA Mayanglambam Sobhamani will also hold a workshop on "Manipuri Dance" at Edna Manley College in Jamaica capital Kingston, it added.
