Imphal, July 31 2010:
United Committee Manipur (UCM) has called a meeting with members of the Transport Society at its Lamphel office on 2nd Aug at 1 pm.
The meeting will discuss on an agreement signed between the UCM and the Transport Society on 17th July.
In the agreement, the transporters agreed to take passenger fares at 35% more than the pre-blockade rate.
After the blockade, the transporters will revert their passenger fares to their pre-blockade rates.
So far, the transporters have not implemented the agreement and UCM considered it very unfortunate.
UCM has received a number of complaints from the public on this issue.
To settle the issue, UCM has called the meeting, said a press release of UCM.
