Assam Rifles Organises Swachh Bharat Abhiyan

Imphal, July 15 2015 : 24 Assam Rifles of 26 Sector Assam Rifles under the aegis of HQ IGAR (South) organised the "Swachh Bharat Abhiyan" at Sita village on Wednesday.

According to a statement issued by PRO HQ IGAR (S), the programme was attended by 30 locals included women, children and youths of the village.

The villagers were educated about the littering issues & its harmful effects to the society and advised to maintain the village garbage free by use of dust bins/garbage bins & waste dumping areas.

The villagers along with troops of Assam Rifles maintained the dumping areas of waste products and took a noble pledge to clean their village.
