Imphal, July 31 2010:
All Manipur Students' Union (AMSU) has urged the Central Government run educational institutions not to violate the seat reservation norms fixed by the Union Ministry of Law and Justice according to the Central Educational Institution (Reservation in admission) Act 2007, No 5 of 2007 .
The students body said that according to the Act, 15 percent for SC, 7.5 percent for ST and 27 percent of OBC have been fixed in Central educational institutions.
AMSU urged the Manipur University authorities not to make any change in the said norms.
