According to him, AMUCO urged the Central leadership to carry out a comprehensive peace process in Manipur and end the conflict.
Saying that they have also highlighted the misery of displaced people, he urged the Centre to carry out the rehabilitation and resettlement works of those who fled persecution on war footing.
Further urging the Government to amend and add a clause to Article 3 to prevent all bifurcation bids of Manipur, he added that the National Register of Citizens (NRC) must also be updated in the context of Manipur and identify the illegal immigrants.
The AMUCO leader went on to state that a District Reorganisation Committee must be formed and prevent the setting up of ethnocentric political units in the State.
Urging the Government to dismantle Kangpokpi (formerly known as Sadar Hills) and reorganise Bishnupur, he said that demand for separate administration should not be entertained under any circumstances.
Krishnachandra continued that border villages Behiang and Moreh must be made a special administrative zone.
Drug trade and poppy cultivation are the root causes of the ongoing violence in Manipur and as such the same practices must be abolished, he added.
