Students' murder: Meet resolves to intensify agitation

Imphal, October 29 2023:
A public meeting held at Heinoupok community hall has resolved to launch intense agitations if bodies of students Linthoingambi and Hemanjit, who are feared killed in captivity by Kuki militants, are not handed to their respective families by November 3 .
The meeting held in connection with the killing of the two students was attended by over 500 people from 40 villages.
Parents of the two students, members of the JAC formed in connection with the incident were also present at the meeting which was moderated by social activist Ningthouja Lancha, who contended that inability to hand over the bodies of the two students even after the prime suspect has been arrested, cannot be taken lightly.
The public need to pressurise authority concerned to do the needful at the earliest, he said.
Those gathered also resolved to hold another public meeting on November 5 to discuss strategies for the agitation.
