Cricket: YUCC, SHADOW win big

YUCC and SHADOW both enjoyed an easy day in Sunday's action of the 4th MNCA U16 Boys Trophy.
YUCC produced all round performance to thrash SCCC by 151 runs at Luwangpokpa Cricket Stadium.
Electing to bat, YUCC posted a competitive total of 242 for 5 courtesy of a collective batting effort by Rishan (46), Bidyashwor (42), Jamesbond (32 not out), Bonny (30), Thoiba (25) and Kenedy (13 not out) .
In the process, the team lost a wicket each to Borish, Taibanganba, Johnson, Temthinganba and Rahul.
After their brilliant batting display, YUCC followed that up with a disciplined bowling performance that stopped SCCC's run chase in 26.3 overs for 90.Kenedy led the scalping by claiming 3 wickets as Bidyashwor and Lanleiba took 2 wickets apiece, and Bonny had one wicket in their thumping triumph.
At Cherapur, SHADOW made light work of RULE by 8 wickets.
SHADOW dished out a lethal bowling attack to bundle out RULE for a meagre 34 in 10 overs.
S Lanchenba dazzled with the ball, snapping 5 wickets as Th Lanchenba did his bit with 3 scalps, and Goshan and Devraj took one wicket each to pave the way for their side's win.
SHADOW then needed 8.3 overs to eclipse RULE'S total for the loss of 2 wickets.
Lanchenba (7 not out) and James (2 not out) guided SHADOW to victory after the dismissal of openers Mavirick (12) and Yohenba (5) .
