Six Myanmar Nationals, petty thief held at Moreh

As many as six Myanmar Nationals including a woman who intruded into Manipur (India) unlawfully were apprehended by security forces at Moreh during the last three days while a man was caught stealing a water-pump in a separate incident.
Special Commandos and Manipur Police apprehended six Myanmar Nationals including a woman from different parts of Moreh town in the last three days.
The State security personnel arrested two Myanmar Nationals from near the Moreh Eastern Ground yesterday as they patrolled the area (on foot) .
The arrested Myanmar Nationals were identified as Min Thai (45) and We Wei Fio Ao (23), both from Namphalong Ward Number 12 .
The combined team also arrested four other Myanmar Nationals from near Rish Hotel, Moreh on Friday.
They were identified as Thangsonlen Guite (33) of Lalim, Myanmar, Khamlenkap Guite (28) of Lalim, Myanmar, Thon Thon (28) of Namphalong, Myanmar and Mrs Mei Yuk (49) of Namphalong, Myanmar.
The arrested Myanmar Nationals were later handed over to Moreh police station for further necessary legal action, sources informed.
On the other hand, a Kuki man was caught stealing a water-pump (Tullu) by a combined team of Special Commando Khabeisoi and personnel of 5th Manipur Rifles at Moreh this morning.
The combined team of Special Commando Khabeisoi and personnel of 5th Manipur Rifles was patrolling on foot in Moreh Khujai Lok and Turel Wangma areas when they caught the man stealing a water-pump red-handed.
On spot verification, the thief was identified as one Pagoulen Khongsai (33) of Chavangphai village, Moreh.
He was arrested on the spot and a water-pump was seized from his possession by observing necessary formalities.
Pagoulen Khongsai was later handed over to Moreh police station along with the seized item for necessary action according to the law.
This is not the first time that Myanmar Nationals have been arrested in recent time.
On October 21, three Myanmarese identified as Khamkhenthang Guite (25), Aung Mae (30), and Aung Aung (25), were arrested by a team of Special Commando, Manipur Police while conducting foot patrolling in and around Moreh town.
They are suspected of stealing furniture and electric generators from the houses that were burnt down during the recent clashes, the police said.
