Development Conference 2023 : Th Shanti lists out completed and developmental works in pipeline

MLA Office Moirang organised Development Conference 2023 under the theme "Fulfilling commitments to the people of 27-Moirang Assembly Constituency" at their office in Moirang Philem today.
The conference was held to show the people of Moirang the developmental works undertaken in the last 20 months since Th Shanti was elected as the MLA of Moirang AC and future works in the pipeline.
The event was graced by MLA Th Shanti; Y Modhu, chief advisor, NPP Moirang Block; Ph Magha Singh, president, NPP Moirang Block; L Gopal Singh president, Moirang Kendra Progressive Front and Md Islamuddin, vice president, NPP Moirang Block as the presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, the Moirang AC MLA shared that the State and Central Government have sanctioned funds for projects aimed at combating the shortage of water in the constituency.
Developmental works in the region had stalled due to the ongoing crisis.
But with the situation becoming better, these projects will be taken up speedily, he said.
In addition, black topping of inter village roads will be initiated and Keipha Road will be transformed into a double lane road.
Further, the INA Auditorium Hall at INA Memorial Complex will be upgraded, said the MLA.
Enumerating his future plans for infrastructural development in the AC, he said that three more quarters will be added to the Moirang Police Station and new fencing will be constructed for the IRB Camp at Naranseina.
To promote sports, Chengei Lampak will be upgraded to a global level football field and drains will be constructed on either side of Ngangkhalawai Ground to prevent frequent flooding of the playground.
Moreover, the Sports Complex at Phubala will be renovated to serve as a Multi Sports Complex for the entire district, Th Shanti continued.
Coming to the health sector, he shared that a G+2 building is currently being constructed at CHC Moirang which will provide facilities for 20 beds, oxygen etc and other special amenities.
Work on all these projects and more will begin by March next year, informed the Moirang AC MLA while seeking the support of the public in all such developmental endeavours.
During the conference, the MLA discussed the works undertaken during his rule such as blacktopping of more than 27 roads, consistent cleaning of Moirang River, construction of 16 community toilets, benefits provided to more than 580 SHGs etc among others.
