Phungyo Baptist Church (PBC) is all set to celebrate its youth centenary from Dec 17 to 19 at PBC, Ukhrul.
Heralding the hundred years of its existence the Phungyo Christian Youth Society is now working day and night to make the programme a grand success with joyous mood under the centenary theme, "Renewing our history, let us praise God" and inviting everyone to join in worshipping to renew the spirit to the 100 years' celebration.
Programme officer, Ashang Raikhan told The Sangai Express that PBC, the mother church in Manipur ought to be given befitting applause for spreading the message of love and peace in the State.
Ukhrul town wears a cheerful and colourful look as most of its areas are being decorated by the centenary committee with billboard, posters and banners seen almost everywhere.
The programme will be attended by renowned persons like former chief justice, High court of chhattisgarh and Himachal Pradesh and chairman of Manipur Human rights Commission Qr Wungzan Shishak, Pastor of Seikhor Baptist Church Rev Yangmi Shaiza, Professor of Eastern Theological College Jorhat Rev Dr Shimreingam L.Shimray, Lecturer John Robert Theological Seminary Shillong Rev Terrance Wanshong and Programme Director Bethel Neighbourhood Centre Kansas City Ql Rakmi Shaiza as the main speakers.
Special items like symposium and choreography of children and talent display like free dance, folk song, light vocal/song and musical piece will be featured.
