Imphal, August 08 2023: In view of the present situation in the state, United Council for Restoration of Communal Harmony (UCORECH) will conduct a consultative meeting on illegal immigrants on August 12 at JN Dance Academy, Imphal.

Speaking to media persons at its office located at Konung Mamang here on Tuesday, UCORECH general secretary Islam Makakcha said that the organisation has been intervening when there is tension between different Communities.

The council stopped the Paite-Kuki clash in 1997/98 .

He reasoned that the meeting will be conducted considering the impacts on the people by influx of illegal immigrants and further appealed to the people to join the consultative meeting.
