CM to take 'responsibility if...'

Chief Minister N Biren Singh has reportedly agreed to take full responsibility if the proposed and controversial mass burial programme takes place at Torbung Bangla.
Speaking to media persons at Kwakeithel Thiyam Leikai, Committee convenor Loitongbam Binodkumar said that they called on Chief Minister N Biren Singh today and held discussion on three topics pertaining to Manipur violence.
He further said that the discussion centred on proposed mass burial programme at Torbung Bangla, inability to convene the special session of the State Assembly early and the alleged nexus between Assam Rifles and Kukis.
The Chief Minister responded that the Assembly, even if convened, won't be able to take any concrete decision as there is high chances of some members being absent, Binodkumar conveyed and continued that the Chief Minister also flatly rejected the charges of Central Government and its forces having nexus with Kukis.
To the third query, the Chief Minister responded that he will take full responsibility if the mass burial programme takes place 'but there should be no obstruction in the movement of the Army and Paramilitary forces, he told the media persons.
Saying that they decided to hold a protest tomorrow at 9 pm as the Chief Minister gave a unsatisfactory response to the first two queries, Binodkumar appealed to all Manipuris to raise slogans demanding a special session of the Assembly on August 10 and to stop disintegration of Manipur wherever they are tomorrow at 9 pm .
