Yangmiso Humao honoured with best farmer award

Yangmiso Humao of Kachai village in Ukhrul district has been honoured with the best farmer of the state (Manipur) award.
The award was presented during the 49th foundation day celebration of ICAR NEH Region complex held at Dr MS Swaminathan conference hall at ICAR Research Complex for NEH Region Umiam, Meghalaya on Tuesday.
The award was presented by the Indian Council of Agricultural Research, New Delhi director general Dr Himanshu Pathak, in the presence of ICAR, New Delhi deputy director general (Natural Resource Management) Dr Suresh Kumar Chaudhari, Central Agricultural University, Imphal vice chancellor Dr Anupam Mishra, ICAR RC NEH director Dr VK Mishra, ICAR former DDG (Animal Sciences) Dr Bujarbaruah, Assam Agricultural University vice chancellor Dr Bidjut Chandan Deka and other dignitaries.
Yangmiso Humao received the award for his untiring effort in promoting and improving the Kachai lemon in Ukhrul district.
He commended Krishi Vig-yan Kendra, Ukhrul and ICAR RC Manipur centre for supporting his farming journey in several ways.
Head of ICAR Manipur Centre Dr Ramgopal Laha congratulated the awardee for his achievement as KVK Ukhrul senior scientist cum head Dr Soibam Khogen Singh commended farmers of the district for their dedication.
