RIMS hospital kitchen inaugurated

Imphal, January 10 2024:
Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), director Prof G Sunil Kumar Sharma, inaugurated a new hospital kitchen near the Obst & Gynaecology Department on Wednesday, in the presence of medical superintendent Prof N Sanjib Singh.
Speaking at the event, the director announced that patients will now have access to complimentary meals in a clean, orderly setting from the hospital's new kitchen.
The dietician will provide food based on the condition of the patients and their needs, he added.
Within the next two to three months, the new main OPD building, staff quarter Type III & IV, nursing hostels and gents' hostels will be inaugurated.
Construction is in progress despite the unstable state of affairs in the state.
As new facilities will be added or updated, finishing the new main OPD building is of utmost importance, Prof Sunil further informed.
He also mentioned that the programme to move the old OPD building to the new block needs to be started because it is more than 50 years old, adding that a proposal for construction of new hospital block in the old OPD building area will be submitted to MoHFW.
The event was attended by HODs, faculties, principal of Dental College, nursing officials and staff of RIMS.
