Amit Shah summons Biren to Delhi

Chief Minister N Biren Singh has left for Delhi on Friday afternoon after he was summoned by the central leaders via telephone on Thursday with regard to the going conflict between Meetei and Kuki communities.
According to a source, union home minister Amit Shah called CM Biren on Thursday night and informed the latter to come to Delhi on Friday.
As such, CM Biren left for the national capital on an Indigo flight around 2.30pm on Friday.
The flight also had other important personalities including High Court of Manipur Chief Justice Siddharth Mridul and Manipur advocate general Naorem Kumarjit.
However, it is not known if both of them were travelling together with the chief minister.
It is speculated that the chief minister might meet the central leaders including the union home minister with regard to the ethnic conflict which has been going on in the state for the past nine months, the source conveyed.
