Protest staged against gun attack

Imphal, February 02 2024:
Denouncing the gun attack by unknown miscreants at Medilane Eye Care Store, Meira Paibis of the area and staff of Medilane Eye Care today staged a sit-in protest in front of the store in Palace Compound, Imphal.
Speaking on the sidelines of the protest, Medilane Eye Care Store assistant general manager Khaidem Jacob said that two unknown men in a two wheeler vehicle fired some rounds towards the store at around 12.30 pm yesterday.
He strongly condemned the gun attack carried out in a residential area and urged all involved in the incident to step forward and issue a clarification at the earliest.

He also asserted that since the conflict began on May 3 last, Medilane has been providing all possible assistance including medical care to the people affected by the conflict.
Meira Paibis of the area also denounced the gun attack which has created panic among the people and urged all concerned to refrain from carrying out such acts in the future.
