YWC win U-13 Khelo India Girls Football League

Young Welfare Club were crowned champions of the Under-13 Khelo India Girls Football League 2023-24 .
They ended their campaign in style en route to their title triumph by inflicting an 8-3 thrashing on Youth Welfare Club at CYLC Ground, Chingamathak on Friday.
Young Welfare Club secured 27 points from their 10 games to win the League.
Youth Welfare Club finished runners-up with 22 points from 10 matches.
In their last match, Laishram Bidyalaxmi Devi (13, 17, 50) scored a hat-trick, Loukrakpam Seityamala Devi (15, 20) claimed a double, and Julan Nongmaithem (7), Konthoujam Daina Devi (12) and Atom Linthoi Devi (48) each contributed one goal in their resounding victory on their way to the title.
For Youth Welfare Club, Yensembam Jandiya (5), Wairokpam Monika Devi (29) and Leikangbam Russia Chanu (49) were the scorers.
In the day's other match, ICSA beat Wangoi Football Association by a convincing 9-5 margin to claim the third place with 19 points.
Takhellambam Reziya Devi (2, 25, 26, 27, 41) ran riot, scoring five goals for ICSA while Laishram Rani Devi (18, 42) scored twice, with Oinam Retika Devi (9) adding a goal each.
ICSA's other goal came via a penalty kick (25+1) .
The losing side scored through Sharangthem Rina Devi (40, 48), Asem Bidiyalaxmi Devi (6) and Mutum Basantipuja Chanu (37), as well as an own goal (38) .
