Mega School donates to relief camp, LMC bereaved families

Imphal, January 12 2024:
Mega Manipur School, Yaralpat, in association with its Mega Manipur School Alumni donated winter clothes, groceries, sport items and several reusable items under the theme "Uniting Hearts" and from "Waste to Wealth" at the Sawombung Relief Camp opened at Biramangol College in Imphal East on Friday.
Members of Eco-Club of Mega Manipur School with supervisor teacher along with former students of the School donated the relief materials to the camp residents.
It is said that the school's Eco Club has been running an environment project under "Waste to Wealth" with the department of environment and climate change to instil the value of recycling daily use items to cut down carbon footprints.
Financial contribution from Alumni of the school was also made towards the donation.
School students also interacted with the children staying at the Relief Camp.
On the other hand, Like Minded Group (LMG) donated food items to the bereaved families of three people, who were killed by Kuki militants in Haotak Phailen area on January 10.The LMG team led by its secretary Ojit Sorokhaibam, publicity secretary Rakesh Naorem and members Surendra Ningomba, and Dr Inaoba Nongmaithem visited the bereaved families on Friday at Akashoi and extended the assistance.
The team also shared the grief and pain of the bereaved families.
