₹5 lakh donated to Langol home

Imphal, January 12 2024:
One Khangembam Romila Devi of Thoubal Athokpam Mayai Leikai donated Rs 5 lakh to the Langol Old Age Home.
In appreciation of her care and support for the elderly people, the home conferred the "Daughter of God" title to Romila.
Speaking to reporters at Manipur Press Club, here, on Friday, Romila, who is an assistant secretary at Manipur Legislative Assembly, conveyed that she extended the financial assistance to the old age home from the little savings she had managed to make.
The assistance is a humble gesture of showing gratitude to her parents Heramot and Ibema who have shown her the light of the world and made her what she is today.
Langol Old Age Home chairman Oinam Mangi, who was also present at the media briefing, said that the home has been in a pathetic condition and the residents facing huge problems for quite some time now.
It is very fortunate that Romila has come to the help of the home after the pathetic condition of the home was circulated on social media.
We extend our gratitude to Romila for the gesture and the home has conferred her the title of "Daughter of God", for all she has done for the aged people, he said, and appealed all to support Romila in all her future en deavours.
