Imphal, July 08 2023:
While stating that some private schools are asking or col-lecting tuition fees for May and June thereby inconveniencing the parents, Kangleipak Stu-dents' Association (KSA) has appealed to private schools and administrators not to levy tui-tion fees for those months which had no regular classes.
In a release, KSA publicity secretary P Ranjan recalled the government order for resump-tion of classes for private and government schools.
Lauding the initiative taken by some private schools to pro-vide free education to displaced students staying in relief camps, he said that the process by some private schools to collect tuition fees from students for May and June is complicating the sit-uation for parents engaged in manual labour.
He further appealed to gov-ernment and department con-cerned to look into the matter.
