Many extend humanitarian aid

Many continue to extend humanitarian assistance to the people affected by the ongoing conflict in the State.
Members of the Women's Grievance Cell, G.P.Women's College, Imphal led by Principal, Dr RK Tamphasana, donated a sum of Rs 50,000 in the form of monetary aid and relief materials to the relief camp opened at Oinam Higher Secondary School, Oinam, Bishnupur district.
The Ram Lai Paul High School 1984 Matric Batch also handed over relief materials for village volunteers to Khurkhul Protection Committee, Imphal West District.
Similarly, a team of Manipur Awang Chingkhei Kanba Clubs & Meirapaibi Apunba Lup
(MACKCMAL), on Thursday visited the victims of the attack carried out by Kuki militants on June 13 at Khamenlok and June 29 at Koutruk, and handed over monetary aid along with essential food items.
In continuation of the assistance extended to the people displaced by the ongoing conflict, Struggling Women's Association yesterday distributed relief items at Sanjenlok.
In a release, the association informed that the relief items were provided with the contributions/ donations made by its members.
Moreover, a team of Tripura Manipuri Tengbang Pukkei and AMUCO handed over 15 raincoats, 15 boots and 4 torchlights to the villagers who are camping at Koutruk in Imphal West district to defend the area.
In a release, AMUCO informed that the team has been continuously providing relief materials and monetary aid to village volunteers in different parts of the State.
The team had also donated an amount of Rs 10,000 to Voluntary Help Unit Centre (VHUC), RIMS, to help the medical treatment of people injured during the present conflict.
Notably, Tripura Manipuri Tengbang Pukkei is a conglomerate of Manipuri Literary & Cultural Forum, Tripura; Takhel Leima Tengbang Lup, Tripura; MARUP Organisation Tripura and Tripura Gouranagar Meira Paibi.
