Moirang, June 30 2023:
In celebration of Chief Minister N Biren's purported resignation, Kuki militants and their supporters set off two/three bombs this afternoon near Lonphai Church, Churachandpur which is located a little distance away from Sunusiphai.
There were reports that Chief Minister N Biren would tender his resignation to the Governor today but he later changed his mind on the insistence of a large number of people not to step down at this crucial moment.
Before setting off the bombs, Kuki militants burnt down a hut built on paddy fields in between Naranseina and Upper Khoirentak.

On the other hand, four cattle sustained bullet wounds as they were fired at by Kuki militants yesterday.
Out of 11 cattle which went to Khoirentak Lamyai for grazing, seven have not returned while four sustained bullet wounds.
One P Damu was herding the cattle but he took a short break and came home to take lunch.
At around 2.30 pm, Damu heard some gunshots.
Soon he went to the grazing field and he saw four cattle coming home with bullet wounds.
But he could not find the other seven cattle.
