Counselling service provided; monetary aid distributed

As part of its psycho-social support initiative, District Child Protection Unit, Bishnupur conducted second round of counselling session at the relief centre set up at Old Mini Secretariat Complex, near Loukoipat, Bishnupur district on Sunday.
During the programme, edibles and sports items were also distributed to the inmates.
Speaking to media persons, child protection officer Bishnupur N Nandashyam Singh informed that in the second round of psycho-social support painting and assessment will be done for children below 10 years while for those between 10-18 years of age an interaction and counselling session will be held.
Similar programmes will be conducted at all relief camps in the district, he added.
Meanwhile, All Brothers' Committee, Ningthoukhong on behalf of Apunba Nupi Lup and Naha Marup of Bahadur Gram, Cachar district, Assam on Sunday handed over financial assistance of Rs 10,000 to the relief camp opened at Mangolnganbi College, Ningthoukhong by Apunba Lup, Ningthoukhong.
Later a cleanliness pro-gramme was carried out by the inmates.
On the other hand, CCIAN Forum Peace Committee conducted cleanliness camp and provided financial assistance to the relief camp at Sen-dra Park Tourists Resort on Sunday.
Speaking on the sidelines of the programme, Committee's convener Angomcha Chingkhei lambasted Kuki leaders for authoring books with false narratives.
Citing an example, he pointed out the untruths mentioned in 'Zelengam, Kuki Nation' written by KNO leader PS Haokip such as Hindu God Shiva was in love with Kuki women in 1512 AD (page 8 of the book), Kuki com munity comprises 38 tribes (page 12), Nagas paid taxes to Kukis, etc.
Meanwhile, Khongjom Bazar Meira Paibi and FPMC Club, Khongjom Bazar provided edibles to village volunteers at Moirang Khunou Makha Leikai and Wangoo Mamang Sabal Chingonglei Makhong.
