Source: The Sangai Express
Thoubal, July 30 2023:
United Clubs Coordinating Committee Khangabok Part III and the farming community have appealed to the relevant department to improve irrigational facilities and save over 70 paris of agricultural land in the region.
It may be noted that shortage of water in the major agricultural areas of Khangabok Part III namely Angom Loukol, Louhonbi Loukol and Mamang Loukol have posed serious challenges to farmers.
In previous years due to lack of adequate water, paddy in over 70 paris of agricultural land had either dried up or failed to bear fruit resulting in a significant harvest failure for the farmers.
