Missed call campaign reaches 7,60,034 people

As a part of the demand for inclusion of Meetei/Meitei in Scheduled Tribe list to ensure constitutional safeguard, the mass missed call campaign has generated response of 7,60,034 people.
Meetei/Meitei Tribe Union (MTU), World Meetei Council and Kangleipak Kanba Lup (KKL) have urged the people of Manipur to extend full support to the campaign.
Speaking in this regard, MTU secretary (administration) Mutum Churamani informed that the month-long mass missed call campaign was launched by the MTU along with like-minded organisations such as WMC and KKL on the theme Campaign for better Manipur with equal status' for ensuring constitutional safeguards of the Meetei/Meitei by inclusion in ST list.
He informed that the target of the campaign is 5,00,000 but fortunately reached 7,60,034 on Thursday at 9am and lauded the people of every section for supporting the campaign.
Despite reaching the target the campaign will continue till December 20, Churamani added.
