SFs, Kuki mercenaries killed 13 recruits in captivity: RPF
Source: Chronicle News Service

Imphal, December 07 2023: While conceding that the 13 Meetei youths found killed in an area between Leithao and Moltham villages in Tengnoupal district on December 4 were new recruits of its armed wing PLA who placed trust on the organisation's objective, and came to join mil itary training, the proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) has claimed that the 13 unarmed recruits were killed by security forces and their ally, Kuki mercenary forces.

In a statement, RPF paid revolutionary salute to the 13 recruits, who, according to the Front, came to join the outfit upon understanding the strategy of the government of India to drive wedge among different communities in Manipur.

They were simple village volunteers, who had been defending the peripheral villages, before taking the decision to join the Front.

They were unarmed when the joint team of central security forces and Kuki mercenaries captured and tortured them before the inhumane execution, which is an extreme form of terrorism, the statement alleged.

RPF, which had signed to uphold the Common Article 3 of the Geneva Convention 1949 and additional protocols in 1997, strongly condemns such inhumane act of the security forces and Kuki mercenaries, which could be tried by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) as a war crime, the statement said.

On the other hand, government of India might record the December 4 incident as a major success but it exposed the proxy war it is carrying out through the Kuki mercenaries, who lack discipline and principle.

It will derail the Government of India's race for a permanent seat in the UN Security Council, it added.

The RPF statement further said that as Delhi does not see the tears and hardships of the people, it is up to the people of Manipur to address their own issues.

Unlike in the past, this time, people are shedding tears of blood and they are taking a stand to sacrifice for the safeguard of their motherland.

The Government of India will continue its ethnic cleansing/genocide relentlessly and those who are taking a stand against such proxy wars are the true sons of the soil.

The boundary of Manipur was drawn by the bloods of the forefathers and only blood can uphold the boundary.

There are several youths, who understand this and the Government of India and its mercenaries should realise this, the outfit maintained.

It further stated that the Government of India is dividing the land among different communities in order to create ethnic tension to suppress the people's movement.

They are plotting strategies to incite ethnic tensions among communities so that they could deny their involvement in front of the world and it is a clear case of following the path of 'Chanakya Niti'.

However, their plans fail to progress as the people of Manipur valiantly fight against such strategies.

Those who understand the proxy war will never indulge in offensive against unarmed civilians.

RPF never used arms against unarmed and innocent civilians.

Unfortunately, the 13 unarmed youths were mercilessly executed on that fateful day, the statement said.

Today, mothers are sending their sons with blessings to safeguard the territory of Manipur and RPF respects such courage of the mothers at the highest level.

At the same time, people should never forget the teachings of the mothers, who advocate unity for fighting the threats.

One should not forget how the mighty US army suffered major loss in the Vietnam War at the hands of the Vietnamese heroes, the statement added.

RPF will continue the fight with support of the people.

In a war, there might be occasional setbacks but the fight will continue.

This is not the time to indulge in criticising one another.

Standing firm on commitment, resilience, sacrifice, and unity are the values upheld by RPF.

Sacrifices made by the sons of the soil and tears shed by the mothers will never go in vain.

At the same time, more and more youths are coming out to protect Manipur after seeing the sacrifices and tears of the mothers.

No revolutionaries have the fear of sacrificing their lives in the struggle to restore the sovereignty.

The security personnel are posted here for salary whereas members of the revolutionary organisations are unpaid soldiers, who are motivated by the love of their motherland, the statement said.

RPF also observed that the struggle for restoring sovereignty is witnessing a new wave of public support and participation.

The ongoing crisis in Manipur clearly shows the outlook and attitude of the Government of India towards Manipur and its people.

The responsibility to protect the motherland lies with its people and the public know it.

Seeing the renewed support from the public, the Front can say that it would not be long before the goal is achieved.

The government of India is supporting one community in its attempt to widen the rift and suppress the people.

However, RPF will fight against this attempt till the last blood, it affirmed.

Regarding the 13 slain youths, whom the Front called as friends, the statement said that they were highly motivated and disciplined patriots who had high regard for the motherland, people and the Front.

It also informed that condolence meets were organised at all the units, departments and stations of RPF and PLA to pay last respect to the 13 friends while sharing the grief and pain of the bereaved families.
