RPF celebrates 45th Raising Day of PLA

The proscribed Revolutionary People's Front (RPF) reportedly celebrated the 45th Raising Day of its armed wing the People's Liberation Army (PLA) on Monday.
According to a statement of RPF issued by its deputy secretary of publicity Roben Khuman, the 45th Raising Day of PLA was celebrated across Manipur and outside though main celebrations were held at the outfit's general headquarters, tactical command, strategic command, 252 Mobile Battalion and other units, departments, stations as well as at SR-1, SR-2, SR-3 and SR-4 of party's Central Bureau.
Celebration at all the venues began with obeisance and honour to the party's flag as well as homage to those comrades who laid down their lives during the course of revolutionary movement, the RPF statement said, adding that people residing under the jurisdiction of Division 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 of the party's central bureau put up festoons and stars throughout Manipur to mark the Raising Day celebration.
The message of acting president MM Ngouba delivered on the occasion was also read out at all the venues, the RPF statement said and expressed hope that the message of 45th PLA Raising Day celebration will bring peace and unity among all the indigenous peoples of Manipur.
Similarly, PLA celebrated its Raising Day in an area in Imphal East district on Monday during which the outfit's stars, flags and banners were put up at various places.
However, police removed the same from places like Leishangthem, Hiyanglam, Thoubal, Kakching Khunou, Samurou, Thoubal Khekman, etc.
