CRPF, NYK Imphal organise Amrit Kalash Yatra

Nehru Yuva Kendra, Imphal in coordination with 86 Battalion, CRPF organised the Amrit Kalash Yatra under Meri Maati Mera Desh Abhiyan in Kendriya Vidyalaya 01, Lamphelpat, Imphal West on Monday.
Officials of Nehru Yuva Kendra (NYK), 86 Battalion CRPF, Imphal West district administration, Police Department, Indian Council of Agricultural Research, Central Agricultural University, Officials and students of Kendriya Vidyalaya and local clubs took part in the event, said a release issued by L Marjitkumar Singh, Deputy Director, NYK.
As part of the event, soils were collected from various locations and Akhilesh Prasad Singh, IG M&N Sector CRPF administered the panch pledge.

While administering the pledge, the IG envisioned that the campaign presented a unified celebration of India's soil and valour, commemorating the nation's journey of freedom and progress by connecting with the land and honoring the heroes.
Addressing the gathering, Pravat Kumar Nayak, DIG Range CRPF thanked everyone for participating in commemorating 75 years of India's freedom and honoring courageous souls who martyred their lives to protect the Nation.
He also thanked the youth for active participation in this endeavour and contributing in nation building.
Commandant 86 Bn CRPF opined that this program will instill a sense of national pride and inspire future generations to protect India's cherished heritage.
Highlighting that the sacred soil collected from the State of Manipur shall shape Amrit Vatika near the War Memorial in Delhi, he said, "It is the most profound tribute we can offer to our valiant freedom fighters" .
He further asserted that the Meri Maati Mera Desh campaign continues to inspire the nation, fostering unity & gratitude for sacrifices of the freedom fighters and security forces.
