After the 48-hour bandh that was called for unconditional release of five village volunteers arrested by police, Meira Paibis have decided to launch 'mass court arrest' agitation at nearest police stations from Thursday.

After the public meeting, Langthabal Kendra Clubs Coordinating Committee president Yumnam Hitler told media persons that the decision to launch 'mass court arrest' at the nearest police stations was taken in view of the government's defiance to the mass movement for unconditional release of arrested village volunteers and its anti-people stand.
The public meeting unanimously resolved to launch 'mass court arrest' stir from 1 pm at the nearest police stations after converging at noon.
The meeting also resolved that all government employees should cease their work on Thursday to join the agitation.
Another resolution was that all the CSOs, local clubs and organisations should convene a joint meeting to arrive at a collective understanding that police should not arrest or harass village volunteers any further, Hitler said and appealed to people to join the stir in democratic manner.
