Imphal, January 07 2024:
After All India Congress Committee (AICC) president Mallikarjun Kharge launched stickers for the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra yesterday, the same stickers were launched in Imphal today by AICC Manipur-in-charge) Girish Chondankar.
After taking out a long march named Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir, AICC is planning another long march, Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra which would begin from Imphal on January 14 and conclude at Mumbai.
The Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra would cover 6700 Kms, at least 15 States, 110 districts, 100 Lok Sabha Constituencies and 336 Assembly Constituencies.
It is estimated that the march would take around 66 days.

AICC (Manipur in-charge) Girish Chondankar launched the march's stickers at Congress Bhavan, BT Road here this afternoon.
Speaking to media persons, Girish Chondankar said that the first Bharat Jodo Yatra which started from Kanyakumari and concluded in Jammu & Kashmir successfully drew the attention of the citizens of the country.
He said that many foreign media gave comprehensive coverage of the march.
The people of the country have been eagerly waiting for the second march.
At the latest meeting of the Congress Working Committee (CWC), AICC leader Rahul Gandhi proposed that the second long march be flagged off from Imphal, Girish and the CWC members agreed to the proposal, Girish said.
CLP leader Okram Ibobi asked if Manipur is longer a part of India.
Taking serious note of the widespread violence and the resulting turmoil in the State, Ibobi highlighted the Supreme Court's observation that law and order has failed completely in Manipur and there is complete breakdown of all Constitutional machinery in the State.
The apex Court's observation is directed not only at the State Government but also at the Prime Minister, the Union Home Minister and other authorities concerned of the Central Government either directly or indirectly, he remarked.
If all Constitutional machinery has broken down, the Central Government and the State Government must take up necessary steps.
But neither the Central Government nor the State Government has taken up any remedial or corrective steps.
As such, many quarters have been questioning the fate of the people of Manipur, the country's Constitution and democracy under the BJP Government, Ibobi remarked.
With a photograph of Modiji in the backdrop, it is written that India is the mother of democracy, it has turned out to be 'murder of democracy' in Manipur, he asserted.
He said that AICC leader Rahul Gandhi would be visiting Manipur to raise a voice of protest against rampant violation of Constitutional values and Constitutional provisions in the State.
It is a matter of pride for the people of Manipur that the Congress Working Committee decided to start the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra from Imphal, Ibobi said.
He then appealed to all the people of Manipur to support the Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.
MPCC president K Meghachandra, MLAs K Ranjit, Th Lokeshwar, CWC Member Gaikhangam and other MPCC leaders were also present at the sticker-launching function.
