State legislators await nod from PM

The legislators of Manipur including the speaker, ministers and MLAs, who are presently in New Delhi have submitted a letter to the PMO on Tuesday, seeking an appointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, a press release by DIPR informed.
As per the release, a delegation of the state legislators is on a mission to the national capital to meet the central leaders so as to bring about a peaceful lasting solution to the prevailing situation in the state.
The letter to the PMO was signed jointly by Manipur Legislative Assembly speaker Th Satyabrata, MAHUD/RD&PR minister Y Khemchand, Social Welfare minister Heikham Dingo, Education minister Th Basanta Kumar, Health minister Dr Sa pam Rajen, PDA chairman MLA L Rameshwor Meetei, Planning deputy chairman S Rajen; MLAs S Premchandra (Kumbi), Sapam Kunjeshwar (Patsoi), Dr Usham Deben (Wabagai), Md Abdul Nasir (Lilong), Khuraijam Loken (Wangoi), Mayanglambam Rameshwar Kakching), Thangjam Arunkumar (Wangkhei), Khongbantabam Ibomcha (Lamlai), Paonam Brojen (Wangjing Tentha), Thokchom Radheshyam (Heirok), Khwairakpam Raghumani (Uripok), Karam Shyam (Langthabal), Dr Yumnam Radheshyam (Hiyanglam), Ashab Uddin (Jiribam), Irengbam Nalini (Oinam), Kongkham Robindro (Mayang Imphal) and Tongbram Robindro (Thanga).
Mention may be made here that the Youth of Manipur had met the CM and the ruling MLAs at the CM's Bungalow a few days ago and put forth several demands related to the prevailing violence in the state.
Afterwards, the MLAs took the decision to go to Delhi and meet the central leaders to seek a solution to the violence.
The MLAs, divided into five teams have already met the union home minister and sought the appointment of the PM as the next step.
However, the PMO is yet to respond positively to the request of the state legislators.
