As per a press release issued by Wakambam Naobi, co-ordinator, JACC, the Committee consists of clubs and meira paibis of Lairikyengbam Leikai, Laipham Khunou, Kairang and Kontha Ahallup.
The JACC has also resolved to lend its support to any follow-up agitations in this connection.
Meanwhile, Yaingangpokpi Bazar bore a deserted look with most shops closed and the volume of traffic considerably reduced.
Bandh supporters also blocked the road at Sawombung Thongkhong.
However, a few small shops remained open in some areas.
