Edible items extended

In view of the prevailing conflict situation in the State, humanitarian aid continues to pour in for the people affected by the conflict.
Relief Help Committee provided edible items to Phubala Relief Camp, Village Protection Committee, Naranseina and Thamnapokpigi Control Room in Moirang Assembly Constituency today.
It is worth noting that the Relief Help Committee is formed by the teachers of Government and Government Aided schools in Bishnupur district with the primary objective of extending best possible aid and support to the people.
The members of the committee contributed and procured edible items including rice, edible oil, pulses, drinking water, milk products etc for distribution to relief camps and village volunteers.
In connection with the distribution drive, Relief Help Committee Convenor K Dilipkumar Singh said that the committee extended the edible items to the people displaced from Churachandpur and other places currently taking shelter at various relief camps in Bishnupur district in a bid to provide some relief to them.
Apart from the inmates, the committee also distributed edible items to the village volunteers.
He also expressed that the prevailing communal crisis has affected thousands of people especially young students who are the pillars of future.
Considering the pain and suffering of these displaced people, the committee resolved to extend best possible support to promote their welfare and to provide some relief to them amid this grim situation, he added.
