Public curfew ends with no major incidents

Imphal, November 11 2023:
The 33 hour public curfew/ bandh imposed by the JAC formed in connection with the disappearance of two teenage boys concluded today with no major incidents taking place during the shutdown hours.
The public curfew began at 4 am on November 20 and concluded at 1 pm of November 11 against the failure of the Government to trace the whereabouts of the two missing teenagers - Ningthoujam Anthony and Maibam Avinash on November 5 .
Normal life was crippled during the public curfew/bandhs as all passenger vehicles remained off the road except for some private vehicles and emergency service providers while shops and other business establishments were closed.
All private and Government schools and colleges were also closed during the public curfew/ bandh.
Bandh supporters were also seen blocking different road stretches by burning tyres and placing heavy objects with a demand to locate the missing students.
Police and Central forces were deployed at strategic junctions during the bandh.
