AIACO fetes meritorious students

Kakching, July 30 2023: The Academic Incentive Award Committee (AIACO) Mayang Imphal organised the 25th Academic Incentive Award Distribution Function to felicitate the meritorious students from the schools of Mayang Imphal Constituency and adjoining area of Mayang Imphal Maibam today.

The meritorious students who gave stellar performances in the Class X and XII examinations were feted at the Indoor Hall of Pravabati College, Mayang Imphal.

The ceremony was attended by social worker Khongkham Manglemba Singh; Dr Chabungbam Nanda Kishore Singh, retd Director, Veterinary and Animal Husbandry and Dr Lourembam Surjit Singh, Deputy Registrar, Manipur University of Culture as presidium members.

Speaking on the occasion, Chongtham Ashok Kumar Khaba, secretary, AIACO Mayang Imphal stated that the Committee was formed in 1998 with the objective to select exemplary students and encourage them academically."He also thanked the award donors for their generosity and expressed hope that such magnanimous support will continue in the future as well.

At today's function, 25 students who secured positions in the Class X and XII examinations and got high marks in different subjects were honoured with cash awards and certificates and awards donated by many generous persons.

Later, the gathering observed a 2-minute silence to honour those who have lost their lives in the conflict which has engulfed the State since May 3 .
