Free health camps for displaced people, students conducted

As a part of the civic action programme, 10 Battalion BSF conducted a free medical camp today at the Khoyol Keithel relief camp in Moirang Lamkhai to cater to the medical needs of the displaced people staying in this camp.
Speaking in connection with the programme, the Commandant 10 Battalion BSF said that medical camp is aimed at not only providing medical aids but to foster the bond of love, understanding and unity among the different individuals.
He also assured to address the medical needs of the displaced people in the best possible way who have been adversely affected by the communal conflict.
The Commandant further expressed gratitude to the team of doctors and medical staff for their support in the medical camp.
Around 250 individuals including residents of the surrounding areas were examined in today's and free medicines were also provided.

Thoubal
A one day free AYUSH health camp was held today at Sophia English School at Thoubal Wangmataba jointly organised by the school, National AYUSH Mission (NAM) Manipur, Directorate of AYUSH Lamphelpat and United Peoples' Front (UPF) .
During the health camp, Deputy Director, AYUSH Directorate, Dr Nandan Atom delivered a lecture to raise awareness among the students on AYUSH practices and its line of treatment while Apprentice Dr Bidyarani spoke on YOGA.
Around 230 students were examined during the camp and relevant medicines were also distributed for free.
Speaking in connection with the health camp, Headmaster of the school, Akoijam Jugeshwor maintained that AYUSH healthcare system is gaining relevance among the masses owing to its natural and cost effective methods.
Expressing gratitude to the organisers of the health camp, he appealed to them to organise similar health camps in every nook and corner of the State for promoting the well-being of all.
Meanwhile, a similar a free AYUSH health camp was held for the students of Naorem High School in Bishnupur district today organised by the school, NAM Manipur, AYUSH Directorate and UPF.
