Four state bikers to compete at 28th Asian MTB Championships

Imphal, October 25 2023:
Four state cyclists will represent India in the 28th Asian MTB Championships, which will be held in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, from October 26-29, 2023.Former national champion Ronel Khundrakpam will compete in XCO and XCE events, Thotmachan Awungshi will compete in XCR and XCO events, and K Adonis Tangpu will compete in XCR and XCE events.
Haomom Urbashi, on the other hand, will compete in the Down Hill event.
She will be the first female cyclist from the state to represent India in an international downhill event, and one of only a few female cyclists from the country to compete in such an event.
Meanwhile, Elangbam Bhubaneswar will attend the biking event as a CFI technical official.
This is the first time India is hosting the Asian MTB Championships, informed the Manipur Adventure and Mountain Biking Association (MAAMBA) in a press release while wishing the state quartet all the best.
