The Joint Action Committee (JAC) against the murder of Ngamkholet Baite has announced its decision of imposing a 12-hour Chakka bandh in Churachandpur district with effect from 5 am to 5 pm on November 30 .
(Late) Ngamkholet Baite was the chief of Moljol (Tatjang) village and was shot dead by armed cadres of UKLF.
UKLF has claimed responsibility for the killing.
JAC secretary Jangmang warned that it would continue to agitate until all its demands, which have already been elaborated in the memorandum submitted to the Chief Minister, are not met.
In the memorandum, the JAC demanded the Government to pay Rs 3 lakhs as ex-gratia to the bereaved family and take up necessary against the killers.
The JAC has also dismissed charges levelled against the deceased by UKLF as baseless and false.
Meanwhile, demanding action against the killers of Ngamkholet, Zillai General Headquarters has announced its decision of extending full support to the November 30 agitation call of the JAC.
