Japhou Baptist Church celebrates Women's Day

The 2nd Women's Day of Japhou Baptist Church (JBC), Chandel was held today at Japhou Village with the theme "A godly woman is a woman of vision for future" .
The celebration was organized by Women Fellowship Japhou Baptist Church under Monsang Naga Baptist Churches Association (MNBCA) .
Sanuw Ng Premila, Chairperson Women Fellowship JBC in her welcome and introductory speech extended warm welcome to all the delegates, resource persons and well-wishers.
She maintained that celebrating motherhood and pursuance for a godly mother character is the main reason behind celebrating ' 2nd Women's Day' 2023 .

Sanuw Shati Nkhamnamai, former Women Secretary MNBCA and presently a teaching faculty member of Chilchil Asian Mission School, Kanglatongbi and Reverend Kiirii Kumar, Assistant Pastor, Japhou Baptist Church attended the celebration as resource persons.
Sanuw Shati Nkhamnamai highlighted the challenging role and responsibility of a woman in present time and considered a godly woman as a woman of vision and virtue.
She also stressed on the importance of good health and hospitality towards others as hallmarks of a godly woman.
Upa Rev Kiirii Kumar explained on 'Be an example woman in faith' both in words and in action like the story of Sarah character from the Bible.
Group song competition, Bible old testament and month recitation in Monsang language, choreography presentation in group wise category were the main highlights of the cultural programmes of the event.
More than 200 womenfolk, particularly mothers from Japhou Village, participated in the 2nd women's day.
Church leaders, Village elders, youths and children also attended the program.
Rev Alani Shongsir, Executive Secretary, MNBCA; Upa Ng Benithan, President SUR; Upa Rev Sh Shrimon, Pastor JBC; Upa W Hemasing, Chief Japhou Village; Dr W Somie, President JYC also attended the program as special invites.
