Ukhrul, March 03 2024: Rev HA Tamreingam, executive secretary of Northern Tangkhul Naga Baptist Association (NTNBA) released a book titled "Answer to climate change with reference to Hao Tangkhul world view (Traditional Life)" written by Pastor Rev Somi Kasomwoshi at UTBC Church Phungreitang, Ukhrul.

On the occasion, Rev Somi informed that his book was written in Tangkhul language in order to educate his community about climate issues and it's impact on the local environment.

He said that the book explains how their forefathers utilized their natural resources without much disturbance to the environment.

It is purely based on the traditional life style of Tangkhul community.

"Although there may not be scientific explanation but our traditional practices and customs have a systematic natural resource management pattern, but trespassing and violation of our customary laws has caused serious environmental issues in our society", he stressed.

The author urged the younger generation to put more effort in research work and produce more books in order to mitigate the global climate change issue.
