Kakching MLA inaugurates paver block road

Kakching MLA M Rameshwar on Sunday inaugurated the road constructed at Kakching Moirangthem Leikai Lanjing Pareng using paver block technology.
The inauguration programme was attended by Senior Citizens Forum, Kakching president N Nimai, Kakching Municipal Council (KMC) Ward No 6 caretaker councillor Nongmaithem Narjit, ex-councillor Kshetrimayum Naran, Moirangthem Leikai Lanjing Pareng Development Committee president Kshetrimayum Kulahari, Representatives of Lois (RoL) president Dr Thokchom Ojit, and Kakching Bazar Business Welfare Association president Nongmaithem Sanatomba, among others.
According to MLA Rameshwar, as black topped roads in various localities tend to degrade after one or two years, he consulted with Union minister for road transport & highways Nitin Gadkari and having assessed road construction technology adopted in the Union minister's constituency Nagpur, he decided to construct roads in his constituency using paver block technology.
Pointing out that roads constructed under this technology will last for around 10 years, he mentioned that after importing two machines from Gujarat, 19 paver blocks roads have been inaugurated in Kakching assembly constituency and very soon 10 more will be handed over to the public.
The MLA also revealed that KMC has been sanctioned highest amount of funds out of five towns of the state selected for developing master plan which will ensure all round development and beautification of the Kakching town.
He further disclosed that plans are afoot for opening Multi Model Logistics Park in Kakching for assisting the youth to get self-employed in agriculture and horticulture sector.
