Table ethics panel report in assembly: Imagi Meira

Imagi Meira has urged authority concerned to discuss the preliminary report of the Privilege and Ethics Committee of the Manipur Assembly during the ongoing assembly session without fail.
Addressing media persons at Manipur Press Club, here, on Sunday, media coordinator Palungbam Ranibala reminded that imagi Meira has been demanding to table and discus preliminary report of the Privilege and Ethics Committee in the assembly but to no avail till date.
Nevertheless, it is hoped that the matter is brought up and discussed in the remaining two days of the assembly session, the media coordinator expressed, while conveying Imagi Meira and its constituent meira paibis' gratitude to members of the Manipur Legislative Assembly for the recent unanimous decision on abrogation of SoO agreement signed with Kuki armed outfits militants along with resolving to implement NRC in Manipur.
All the assembly members are further appealed to collectively urge the centre for positive response to recommendation of the state assembly, she suggested.
Ranibala also appealed to the state government to take up necessary actions against COTU for calling shutdown against the decision of the Assembly to abrogate SoO.
In addition, members of the assembly should also give befitting reply to the 10 Kuki MLAs who are demanding withdrawal of resolution of the assembly, Ranibala implored and urged the government not to harass or arrest village volunteers in acknowledgement of their valour and commitment to uphold interest of Manipur and its people, especially those settling in the fringe villages.
