MNRF hopes peace returns in state

The armed Manipur Naga Revolutionary Front (MNRF) reportedly celebrated its 16th Raising Day on Sunday.
According to a MNRF statement, the thanksgiving celebrations were blessed by the presence of various CSOs and Church leaders.
Raising Day celebrations were held at all the bases of the unit with the event at Bethel council headquarters attended by the chairman and at Emmanuel training centre by general secretary while senior commanders attended celebrations at all tactical headquarters, the statement said.
Conveying its deepest appreciation to committed cadres for their unwavering dedication and extending warmest greetings to all the Nagas residing in Manipur, the statement said March 3 serves as a moment of gratitude to Naga brethren for their unwavering moral, physical, and spiritual support throughout the military and political endeavours led by MNRF.
The outfit also extended its sincere thanks to the Almighty for continuous care, protection and providence that have sustained the organisation to this day.
On the occasion, the MNRF also paid homage to fallen heroes who made ultimate sacrifices in the pursuit of Naga rights and ancestral territories.
The MNRF statement issued by information & publicity cell said that it was founded on the unwavering conviction to safeguard the birth rights and territories of the Nagas amidst the looming threat of demographic encroachment in Naga-inhabited regions of Manipur, posing grave challenges to our survival and territorial integrity.
In the face of numerous challenges, including the shrinking geographical landscape of the Nagas, MNRF remains steadfast to rectify historical injustices and reclaim the lost territories through rightful means.
It also said that MNRF's aspiration is to build a glorious and prosperous Naga nation, reclaiming Nagas' rightful position among nations.
MNRF, as a responsible armed revolutionary entity, advocates for peaceful coexistence among all ethnic groups in Manipur, the statement said and prayed for the restoration of peace and tranquillity in the violence-affected state in the near future.
