Col CK Nayudu Trophy : Manipur go down by an innings and 65 runs against Jharkhand in penultimate game

Manipur ended their Group C campaign in the Col CK Nayudu Trophy 2022-23 with an innings and 65-run loss at the hands of Jharkhand at JSCA International Stadium Complex in Ranchi.
Manipur who were 82 for 6 after 31.5 overs of their second innings and trailing behind by 158 runs added 93 runs in 20.2 overs courtesy Bidash's 80-ball 81 before being bowled out for 175 runs today (Day 3) .
Shubam Kumar Singh who were on 1/21 in 6 overs yesterday, emerged the pick of Jharkhand bowlers for the innings by claiming three more wickets today to finish with best figures of 4/73 in 16 overs.
Mention may be made that hosts Jharkhand had racked up a mammoth first innings total of 417 runs in 92.2 overs courtesy a century from Sharandeep Singh (173 off 192 balls) and a half century from V Vishal (65 off 135 balls) .
Suraj Kharibam shone with the ball in this innings with a haul for 4 wickets for 51 runs while Ng Jameson had fetched 3 wickets for 38 runs and Bidash picked two for 37 runs in his spell of 15 overs before Manipur posted a meagre total of 177 runs in first innings (48.2) .
With this, Manipur ended the 7-team Group C campaign without a win.
