SHADOW, PTRC script emphatic wins in MNCA U-14 boys tournament

SHADOW-Thangmeiband and PTRC, Patsoi notched up convincing wins in today's matches of the ongoing 2nd MNCA U-14 Boy's Tournament.
At PTRC Ground, Patsoi Part IV, SHADOW thrashed SDC by 8 wickets as Sagatpam Telheibam led in bowling SDC out for 76 runs in 20 overs before chasing down the target in just 9.1 overs.
SDC who won the toss and decided to bat started wobbly and reduced to 3 for 2 in 2.4 overs with Pebam Leishemba bowling out Nganba W for a 4-ball duck in the second over and Thoudam Lanchenba getting run out in the third over.
Despite, Nitara Maverick trying to hold things up, Sagatpam Lanchenba trapped M Napolian lbw for 19 runs for the third wicket and Chinglemba Haobam bowled out S Rishikanta for 19-ball duck to leave SDC struggling at 67 for 4 in 16.4 overs.

Sagatpam Telheiba then took charge of the bowling attack and found the breakthrough in bowling out Nitara Maverick for 50-ball 32 in the third delivery of the 18th over before bowling out Livas L for a first ball duck the next delivery and Manish Kumar for a 2-ball duck in the last delivery of the over.
Telheiba collected his fourth scalp by bowling out L Savin for a 1-ball duck in the first delivery of the 20th over to make it 76 for 8.Devraj N got run out for a 3-ball duck in the fourth delivery of the over before Telheiba trapped M Kheda to complete his sweep of five wickets and returned with the best figures of 5/13 .
In reply, Sagatpam Lanchenba scored an unbeaten 42 off 33 balls and Tomthinnganba gathered unbeaten 10 to help SHADOW cruise to winning 77 for the loss of two wickets in 9.1 overs. Sagatpam Telheiba of SHADOW was eventually adjudged man of the match.
Elsewhere at PCC ground, Mayaikoibi, Ngambarel Naoshekpam scored an unbeaten double century (95-ball 206) to guide PTRC to a 325 run victory over Model Club, Singjamei Chingamakha who opted to field first today.
PTRC racked up 371 runs for 4 in 30 overs courtesy the double century from Ngambarel who smashed 35 fours and 7 sixes on the way to his unbeaten 206 and significant contributions from Benson Yumnam (39 off 29 balls), Laitonjam Jackson (28) and Henba Paonam (26) .
Ashem Bobby of Model Club picked two wickets for 73 runs while Suraj Sagolshem and Yaioiba Ningombam claimed a wicket each in this innings before they succumbed to PTRC bowling pressures at 46 all out within 11.1 overs.
Ngambarel who fetched a record haul of 8 wickets for 13 runs in his spell of 6 overs to set up the huge victory while Benson Yumnam and Bush Sagolshem fetched a wicket each.
