Imphal, April 07 2023:
Socialist Students' Union of Manipur (SSUM) has alleged that the Little Flower School opened KG classes from this session without providing prior notification.
SSUM in a press release claimed that the school opened KG classes without getting prior approval from the Department of Education or Zonal Education Officer (ZEO) violating the laid norms.
The student body came to know of the situation after it investigated the matter acting on the complaints raised by parents/guardians of many students.
In view of the above, SSUM said that the school should stop all admission process of KG classes immediately and it should be conducted after issuing a formal notification on the public platform.
In view of such discrepancies, SSUM urged the State Government to formulate a Pre-primary Education policy at the earliest in the State.
The student body also raised concern on the mushrooming of kids' care centres in the State and it is unfortunate that there is no policy to regulate the opening of such centres which is really unfortunate.
