Manipur registered a 4-wicket victory over Meghalaya in the U-19 Men's Vinoo Mankad Trophy 2021-22 on Saturday at MECON Stadium, Ranchi.
The state side bowled out their opponents for 132 in 26.4 overs in the stipulated 50 overs and followed up their form with the bat as they wrapped up their win in 23.1 overs with 4 wickets to spare.
Suresh Singh (35), Ulenyai (26), Rohit (25) and Jotin (22) were key contributors in Manipur 's convincing victory.
Earlier, Kadamjit shone with the ball for the state team.
His six-over spell earned him an impressive haul of 5 wickets while Dominic and Vivekananda chipped in with a wicket apiece.
Josiah (34), Ayushma (24) and Rohit (22) were main run-getters for Meghalaya in their innings, while Waldo, Santhosh, Bharat and Purav Agarwal took a wicket each to be on the losing side.
Elsewhere in the day, the state women's team comfort ably beat Atunachal Pradesh by 83 runs in the U-19 Women's One Day League 2021-22.Electing to bat, Manipur posted 183 runs for 9.In the innings, Seterny topped scored with 56 from 96 balls, L Linthoi made 37/86 and Kiranbala contributed 24 runs.
Then the state eves then bundled out Arunachal for 100 in 47.5 overs to seal a thumping victory at the KIIT Cricket Stadium in Bhubaneshwar.
Th Mangalsana and Sanaloo claimed 3 wickets each as Kiranbala took 2 wickets with Niruka and P Kiranbala adding a wicket apiece.
