Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 held widely

CRPF Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 to commemorate 'Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav' which commenced from August 13 concluded today on the occasion of 152nd birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi today.
The run has been organized to encourage the people to remain healthy and fit by incorporating physical activities and sports in their daily lives.
109 Bn CRPF organized the event within the premises of Unit Headquarters as well as surrounding area of UNIT AOR between August 13 to October 2, 2021 .
A press release issued by 109 Bn CRPF said that the program was inaugurated by Sh Sandeep, Second in Command in presence of Kiyam Rajiv Singh, Deputy Commandant, other officials and personnel of 109 Bn.
The unit personnel and their families have actively participated during the run, added the statement.
Group CRPF, Langjing Imphal also organized 5 kms virtual run accordingly and the run was started from CRPF Parade Ground.
Mahabir Singh Shekhawat, IGP, Manipur and Nagaland Sector, Madan Kumar, DIG Group Centre, CRPF, Langjing, L Sarita Devi, Boxer and Arjuna Awardee, Olympian Sushila Likmabam, officers, subordinate officers, jawans and their family members participated in the run, said a statement issued by DIGP, GC, CRPF Imphal.
The Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 was also organized by 86 Bn CRPF, Lamphelpat today at its Unit Headquarters under the supervision of Deepak Kumar, PMG, Second-in-Command, 86 Bn.
All officers, SOs and Jawans along with families residing at unit Headquarters attended the programme, said press note issued by Commandant of 86 Bn, CRPF, Lamphelpat.
Meanwhile, Fit India Campaign Committee and Fit India Club, Manipur University, Canchipur has organised 'Fit India Freedom Run 2.0' today at the Traffic Point, MU in pursuance of Ministry of Education, Department of Higher Education, Govt of India, New Delhi.
Professor K Yugindro Singh, Chairman, Fit India Campaign Committee and Dean, School of Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Prof S Mangi Singh, Dean, School of Social Sciences, Prof L Rupachandra Singh, Dean, School of Life Sciences, Prof T Inaobi Singh, Dean, School of Education, Prof M Shyamkesho Singh, Dean, School of Agricultural Science of Manipur University took part in the Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 along with Devid K Zote, Joint Registrar, N Thoiba Singh, University Engineer, Dr Ch Pradeep Singh, Assistance Director of Sport, Dr S Opendra Singh, Security Officer, S Brojen Singh, President, MUSA, M Maikel Singh, President, MUSU, said a statement by Fit India Campaign Committee and Fit India Club, MU.
Altogether 250 runners has participated including deans of different schools of Manipur University, heads of different departments of Manipur University, officers, staff, research scholars and students in the Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 as a part of Fit India Movement.
At the outset of the programme, Dr Laishram Santosh Singh, Convenor, FICC and FIC, MU, Canchipur highlighted the theme and importance of Fit India Freedom Run 2.0 .
