Model-activist Diana honoured with Peace Award

Renowned model and social activist Mayanglambam Diana has been honoured with the Mahatma Gandhi International Peace Award-2021 in model and social activist category.
The award was presented during the Sadbhavna Diwas programme organised by All India Congress Social Organisation national secretary Dr Mohammad Riyaz in connection with the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi attended the programme held at Constitution Club of India, New Delhi as chief guest.
Several Congress MPs and party leaders also attended the programme.
Diana was selected for the award for her voluntary services and activism towards helping people of the northeast, who are facing various issues including crimes and healthcare.
She had been honoured by different organisations in Delhi, Haryana and Mumbai in the past for her activism.
Diana is serving as woman coordinator of Humane Initiatives Manipur.
She is also member of some Delhi-based NGOs at present.
